Job overview

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages.

This is predominantly a position for the teaching of French but an ability to teach Spanish would be welcomed. This post would suit a well-qualified French teacher who has experience of teaching across the key stages including A level.  It would suit someone with considerable teaching experience who wishes to develop themselves as a leader.

As well as leading on the teaching of French across the academy, the successful applicant will be working alongside the Curriculum Leader for MFL whose role encompasses the strategic leadership of the curriculum area, which includes French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, and who also has oversight of our funded programme of the teaching of Mandarin Chinese both within the academy and through outreach work with the Swire Foundation.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching Modern Foreign Languages to all pupils and enabling our young people to discover and celebrate other cultures and to experience other cultures in action whenever possible.

Belvedere was the first independent school to become an academy and is continuing the traditions and standards of its predecessor school.  We were judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in January 2015.

To find out more and obtain an information pack please click apply or email: jobs@belvedereacademy.net or telephone 0151 727 1284.

Closing date for applications: 3pm on Monday, 10th May 2021.

Interview: Friday, 14th May 2021.

The GDST is committed to diversity, inclusion and real change: a family where every individual is valued, respected and included.

We are committed to the safeguarding of children and child protection screening will apply to this post.
