Working as part of The GORSE Academies Trust, Bruntcliffe Academy will ensure that students receive an outstanding education that focuses on aspiration, high expectations and personalisation. Together these non-negotiable values will instil in young people a self-belief that enables students to access the highest standard of higher educational provision and employment. We believe that poverty and deprivation should in no way limit either the quality of a young person’s educational experience or the levels of achievement to which those students are able to rise.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational Assistant Director of English to join Bruntcliffe Academy from January 2018.
From September 2015, Bruntcliffe Academy has become part of the GORSE Academies Trust which is led by Sir John Townsley. The Trust is a vibrant and forward thinking teaching community which places all students, and in particular those who come from the most challenging backgrounds, at the centre of its work. The Trust has three outstanding secondary schools, The Morley Academy, The Farnley Academy and The Ruth Gorse Academy. We also have the largest Post-16 Free School in the country, Elliott Hudson College. Hillcrest Academy (Ofsted Outstanding), Ryecroft Academy, Morley Newlands Academy and Richmond Hill Academy are the primary schools within the Trust. The Trust also includes two Teaching Schools, providing leadership development and initial teacher training and the opportunity to be involved in innovative and exciting teaching and learning opportunities.
The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive Induction Programme. We promise to:

- Develop you
- Value you
