Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as an Assistant Director of Estates. This key role will lead, advise on and implement the Trust wide health and safety strategies as required by legislation. You will be supporting the Director of Estates in the day-to-day operations and planning of all our academies and establishments across the trust.


The Opportunity


  •  A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team
  • Provide high-quality estates and facilities management service to all our schools/academies
  •  Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand
  •  Work closely with the Trust Executive Board and Senior Management Team
  •  Be responsible for ensuring premises development plans, including energy conservation, is progressed by costing and planning projects to ensure best value, and agreeing an annual program of work in conjunction with Meridian estates teams.


The ideal candidate


  •  Have a good educational background with evidence of CPD   
  •  Experience of financial, budgetary and risk management
  •  Ability to analyse situations and exercise independent judgement.
  •  Building regulations & M&E maintenance
  •  Experience of asset and facilities management
  •  Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence
