The Person

We seek to appoint an outstanding and proven leader who has high aspirations, drive and the enthusiasm and commitment to lead the secondary school improvement activities for Literacy across the Trust as we move to the next stage in our development and achieve even greater success.

As this is a new role you will have full scope of making this role what it needs to be. So we need someone who is passionate about leading on curriculum progression and can be creative in how that looks.

You will be able to build viable relationships across the Trust and be able to identify motivators so as to be an authentic influencer.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Strategy for Curriculum, Teaching & Assessment, the role will provide a rare career opportunity for the post holder to demonstrate their impact on 5000 pupils in seven schools.

You will be responsible for developing the Literacy Curriculum, manage the performance of identified subject leaders, deliver teaching and learning improvement activities that drive improved Literacy secondary outcomes. The successful person will take the strategic lead for implementing the Trust School Improvement plan in specific schools. This will include deployment in key schools to ensure progress is rapid and secured.
