This post offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and organised teacher, to work within a motivated and supportive Maths, Business & ICT team. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional who has a real love for their subject and the capacity to use creative approaches in their teaching. We are looking for a passionate Maths teacher who can use their proficiency in the classroom to develop a committed team of Maths teachers to deliver exceptional outcomes for our students. Our Maths curriculum should build a love for the subject and open doors to STEM careers and university pathways and this an opportunity to be a key part of delivering this vision. The post involves key elements of curriculum leadership as well as the opportunity to line manage one of the Business, Economics or ICT subject areas.


The Maths Team at TGS

Our department boasts a dedicated and well-staffed team with a strong collaborative spirit. We have a culture of high expectations and provide opportunities for professional growth, including the development of A level and Further Maths teaching skills. We achieved the school’s best-ever Maths results at GCSE in 2024 but are aware our students can do even better and we are looking for a leader who shares our high expectations for Maths outcomes. We encourage the continued development of both new and experienced teachers and offer access to relevant professional development courses.


You

Our ideal candidate will be a committed practitioner who shares our vision ‘Let your light so shine – Be the best you can be’. You will have the ability to teach Maths up to A Level/ Key Stage 5. You will collaborate with the faculty leadership team to implement a clear vision and support continuous improvement while fostering staff development and a coordinated approach to teaching. Through collaborative management and regular feedback, you will ensure consistency in departmental processes and promote career growth for staff.
