In succession to Joseph McHardy (appointed Director of Music of the Chapel Royal) we seek for September 2017 (or January 2018 for the right candidate), a well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate to join a successful, collegiate department. They will be an inspiring academic music teacher, up to and including A Level and Oxbridge entry, with expertise in Harmony and Composition.
Choral Music is a strength with eight choirs in the Senior School - including Chapel Choir - auditioned and specialist, and unauditioned. Dr Jennifer Bate, internationally acclaimed organist, hosts the annual Jennifer Bate Organ Academy.
A perfect second post for an excellent music teacher who aspires to lead a department. However, a very strong recent graduate musician with suitable choral and organ playing or teaching experience would also be considered.
