We are looking to appoint an ambitious and talented Assistant Director of Performing Arts to work in our vibrant, high achieving and multicultural school. You will support the subject leader of a successful department with an enthusiastic team of highly committed teachers ensuring excellence. 

The successful applicant will be a talented, innovative practitioner with a passion for all aspects of performing arts, with the ability to teach drama. You will have a leading role in moving the department to outstanding. The Assistant Director of Performing Arts will plan, lead, deliver and monitor teaching and learning in the department. Specific responsibilities will depend on the individual candidate’s strengths and abilities.

Introduction to Lealands

Lealands High School is located on the northern edge of Luton, in Sundon Park, and caters for students from 11-16 years old. Our facilities, following a £17.5m investment in 2013, are fantastic and I would encourage you to visit and see these for yourself.
