Wishmore Cross Academy, part of Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), is an ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2015) residential special school in Chobham, Surrey, for boys aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We can admit up to 80 boys and can offer up to 14 residential places (including extended days) on a flexible basis for up to 4 nights per week. The academy is situated within easy reach of the M25 and M3 and, although in Surrey, is very close to Berkshire and Hampshire.
We are looking for an Assistant Educational Psychologist to join the Academy team to support the Local Authority Educational Psychologist in developing person-centred, outcomes-focused planning for children and young people from 9-16 years old as outlined in the job description. You will have an honours degree in psychology recognised by the British Psychology Society and ideally have experience working with children in an educational setting.
The post will involve an induction programme, training opportunities, rewarding work with young people and professional supervision, providing excellent experience for Psychology graduates who are seeking to pursue further higher level training in Education Psychology.
