We are looking to appoint as soon as possible, an outstanding candidate to assist the Facilities Manager with the coordination of the maintenance of the school site and the buildings to the highest standards. This role is an integral part of the support staff team that makes a significant contribution the progress, welfare and safety of our students.
The successful candidate will be supporting the current Facilities Manager and extend the capacity of the Facilities Team. In addition to deputising for the Facilities Manager for general maintenance matters, this role also includes specific areas of responsibility, namely:
- To act as Deputy Health and Safety Officer to monitor and implement procedures in line with current requirements and school policies
- To be responsible, with the Facilities Manager, for all lettings / use of premises / holiday opening times and for maintaining appropriate procedures
- To be a main key holder and respond to emergencies
- To be responsible for efficient operation and control of heating, lighting and other services
- To plan service schedules and work to ensure minimal disruption to teaching and learning
