We are looking to recruit an experienced and capable finance professional to strengthen our growing central finance team. 

This new role will primarily be responsible for day-to-day accounting for income including government funding, local authority funding for special educational needs and teaching school hub income streams. The post holder will also look after the sales ledger, credit control, control account reconciliations and process quarterly VAT claims and be able to cover other duties within the busy department.

The post would particularly suite someone with strong accounting skills and the ability to master a high volume of complex transactions. This will require a tenacious character, a good eye for detail, advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial procedures. Good communication and team working skills are also important. Experience of working in a similar role in a similar organisation would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will: 

Have the capacity to make an important contribution to the management and further development of the Trust. They will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively support the manager. They will also be a good communicator - able to understand and convey detailed information. They will also need to be well organised and possess good IT skills. The new post-holder must be resilient and able to adapt to priorities that may change at short notice. The new post-holder must be able to work professionally under pressure to meet deadlines, and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school. They will be highly numerate, a confident user of Excel and previous experience of using financial systems.

The Twyford Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Trust is the overarching organisation which provides support for all Trust schools - the Trust comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing.

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a Multi Academy Trust which comprises four secondary schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable our heavily oversubscribed existing school, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.
