ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER
Part-time (18.5hrs pw)/Term time/Permanent
Applicants must have AAT or equivalent qualifications and a minimum three years recent work experience in accounts using computerised accounting systems, Excel and line managing staff.
Tasks include organising BACS payments, administering monthly payroll claims, carrying out month end and year end procedures and assisting with budget setting and monitoring. You will need to have excellent team leading skills, enthusiasm and flexibility.
The College is part of Summit Learning Trust: a group of seven schools and one College in Birmingham and Solihull. Staff work within a friendly, supportive working atmosphere and many staff are long serving. The College offers free parking, an on-site restaurant and free use or gym and sports facilities during the College day to promote a good work-life balance. From the campus, it is a short attractive walk through parkland to Solihull Town Centre.
The Assistant Finance Manager role will not work in College holidays. Hours are flexible and will be negotiated on appointment.

Solihull Sixth Form College is a sixth form college for 16-19 year olds in Solihull and Birmingham. Part of the Summit Learning Trust, the college has more than 2,000 students. The large majority of courses are A levels, but vocational courses (mostly BTECs) are also available.
Founded in 1974, the college boasts extensive sport facilities, as well as a library containing tens of thousands of books and digital resources. The Sixth Form College, Solihull has official links with a number of other educational institutions, including secondary schools and universities, via the Specialist Academies project.
