Hoe Bridge is an academically focused IAPS school that is looking to appoint an exceptional leader and teacher to assume the role of Assistant Head Academic from September 2023. The successful candidate will be accountable for the teaching and learning throughout the school and the role involves monitoring, evaluating and developing the curriculum, teaching and learning and reporting and recording procedures.
The role would suit somebody who wants to be involved in all areas of school life and someone who is looking for a challenging and varied role, playing a major part in all significant academic developments. This is a critically important position helping to drive the teaching and learning forward and working to deliver our ambitious curriculum plans. An ability to think strategically (as well as operationally) and implement change is vital, as are exceptional communication skills.
With the introduction of our senior school, the Assistant Head Academic will have the exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the development and implementation of our new senior curriculum and ensure that our ethos and high academic standard continues through to the GCSE years.
