Job overview

Eaton House The Manor Preparatory School is currently seeking an enthusiastic and vibrant Assistant Head (Academic) to work within the School supporting the Head Teacher and forming part of the SMT.

Eaton House aims to provide a first-class education, striving for excellence in all academic, cultural and sporting pursuits, giving every child the confidence to discover where their gifts lie and to enjoy their talents.

We strive to create a well-ordered and caring school community, where the self-respect and dignity of each person will flourish and they can be strong in friendship and family.

We share with parents in the spiritual, moral and intellectual development of the children in our community.

Eaton House The Manor Preparatory School offers the perfect blend of traditional values with a forward-thinking education in a school that feels like a family.

Boys are encouraged to think independently, to have fun, be imaginative, to be creative and develop their passions within a broad and balanced curriculum and through an extensive after-school clubs provision. We believe that higher academic standards are achieved in single-sex schools where dynamic teaching is directed specifically towards boys' interests and needs. We encourage boys to strive and persevere to their best in their studies and to develop into well-rounded young men who are respectful of each other.

Although non-selective at age 4 on entry, we pride ourselves on being academically rigorous and challenge all boys to achieve their full potential. Our pupil-led approach empowers boys to be successful in their destination senior schools, whether that is a London day school such as Westminster, St Paul’s or Dulwich College, or a boarding school outside London, such as Eton.

Pastoral care is intrinsic in all we do and the fundamental cornerstone of Eaton House The Manor Preparatory School because we believe that happy minds make happy children.

Successful candidates may be contacted prior to the application deadline date.

A completed application form should be submitted to the TES jobsite. If you have any queries regarding the role or the application process then please contact the Head of Human Resources, Miss Jessica Morse (Tel: 0207 924 6000; email: HR@eatonhouseschools.com)
