Required for September 2019
One of the country’s leading academic schools, Queen Elizabeth’s Barnet blends a distinctive heritage and proud traditions with an innovative, forward-looking approach to providing a state education like no other to 1,250 boys aged 11-18.
The School now seeks to appoint an exceptional teacher and leader to the post of Assistant Head. The specific areas of responsibility will be tailored to the strengths and interests of the successful candidate but, working with the Headmaster and his three Deputy Heads, this individual will shape the strategic direction and coherent development of QE’s academic, pastoral and extensive co-curricular provision. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a substantial portfolio and would be excellent preparation for further career progression in a few years’ time.
The appointed candidate will blend a track record of successful leadership experience, the capacity to manage a complex and wide-ranging remit and the strategic skills to develop and deliver an inspiring vision for his or her areas of responsibility. Outstanding communication skills and the personal authority to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, Old Elizabethans and other stakeholders are essential, as is a deep commitment to the School’s aims and ethos.
The closing date for applications is 0830 hours (GMT) on Monday 18 March 2019. Further details and an application form are available from our website: https://www.qebarnet.co.uk/recruitment/
