This position is in our DUCKS school within Dulwich College (Singapore). DUCKS is academically selective and provides a well-rounded education founded on academic rigour. DUCKS compromises of 730 students and over 40 different nationalities from pre-nursery (age 2) to Year 2 (Age 7). DUCKS follows an enhanced, concept-based English National Curriculum within a Dual Language setting (English and Mandarin).

An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Head (Dual Language and Mandarin) in our DUCKS school for an August 2021 start.

The main role of the Assistant Head will be to:

• Lead the continued development and review of the Dual Language Programme in DUCKS in line with  Learning Principles, Engaging Spaces and Student Agency.

• Develop language learning resources to enhance the learning in DUCKS.

• Inspire staff to embrace the development of language Acquisition.

• Lead PLD in the area of Dual Language and Mandarin.

• Foster excellent school-community relations by ensuring that all stakeholders receive regular and effective communication about Dual Language and Mandarin.

The ideal candidate will have proven schoolwide leadership experience and be proficient in spoken and written Mandarin and English. The right candidate will be a highly committed team player with the drive, energy and passion to develop this forward-looking school. Applicants must be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the College’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.
