Your Role:

As Assistant Head for Inclusion and SENCO, you will lead the way in championing inclusion and diversity. You will ensure that all students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), receive the tailored support and opportunities they need to excel.

What You’ll Do:

Inspire Change: Develop and implement a bold, inclusive strategy that transforms the way we support and celebrate every learner’s journey.

Lead Excellence: Manage and motivate a dedicated team of staff, providing training and guidance to ensure the highest standards of teaching and care.

Advocate for Students: Work closely with families, external agencies, and school leadership to create a robust support network that champions every child’s potential.

Shape Futures: Monitor progress, celebrate successes, and address challenges with innovative, student-focused solutions.

When Swindon Academy opened in September 2007, it was the first 0 - 19 Academy in the country. We now operate from two sites, one in Pinehurst (Nursery - Sixth Form) and one in Penhill (Nursery - Year 6). Swindon Academy is proud to be able to provide excellent teaching facilities on both sites. The state-of-the-art facilities in the new building at Beech Avenue must be seen to be believed!
