To commence Easter or September 2019

The successful candidate for this Assistant Head of Faculty position will also be either Head of Design Technology or Head of Computer Science.

This is a new post and an exciting opportunity.  We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to develop and lead the teaching of Computer science and IT initially across KS3 and KS4 within the recently created Art and Innovation Faculty.  We are also planning to expand provision into the sixth form.   

Design Technology subjects are very popular, with students and the accommodation in this Faculty is spacious, modern and light.  There is also a new, fully equipped engineering workshop, 2 x DT workshops, graphics studios, a CAD suite and 2 x kitchens.  There is also a large central exhibition area.

CAD software includes Adobe Creative Suite, 2D Design and Fusion 360.  CAM machines include a 3D printer, a new state of the art laser cutter and a CNC router.  Alongside a team of 7 teaching staff there are 2 full time technicians.
