St George’s School seeks a well qualified professional to support our team of Resident Boarding Tutors and Head of Boarding in the development and growth of the Boarding House.
The School
Serving the international community in Cologne for almost 30 years, St George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The school has grown from small beginnings into a thriving community of over 750 pupils, aged from 2-18 and representing more than 40 nationalities.
The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer both the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.
Our boarding house accommodates approximately 60 pupils aged 14-18 who opt for either weekly or full boarding. It enables pupils from across Germany, and beyond its borders, to benefit from a high calibre of teaching and pastoral care.

The Location
Located on a new, purpose built campus on the outskirts of Cologne, St George’s School enjoys direct transport links to the city centre, as well as to the greater area of Cologne-Bonn.

The Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Assistant Head of Boarding to work in our flourishing boarding house.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for pastoral care and a sensitivity to the needs of young people living away from home. The ability to work in a team is a prerequisite.
Our boarding tutors live on site and will teach a limited timetable in our school. This could be supporting the English Second Language programmes, or in other subject areas dependant on skills.
A conversational command of the German language is essential for this role.
