Job overview

Gretton School is an Independent Special School for children aged 5 to 19 with Autism specifically High Functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. 

We are looking to appoint a motivated and dedicated person to lead the boarding provision. 

The successful candidate must 

  • have at least 2 years working in a senior support worker position or equivalent.
  • have relevant training, understanding and knowledge of autism 
  • be able to demonstrate a calm and patient and positive approach
  • have the ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to use own initiative
  • have an appropriate level 4 qualification
  • be willing to undertake a Level 5 qualification

A competitive salary, pension and ongoing professional development is provided.

Salary  £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience and qualifications 

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and you will be subject to an enhanced DBS checks.

Gretton School is a specialist day and residential school for children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC), specifically high functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.

The school provides individually tailored programmes of education, care and therapy for students between the ages of 5 and 19 years old.
