Assistant Head of Mathematics/Second in Charge required for an outstanding secondary school based in Feltham, Middlesex! With potential career progression to become a lead practitioner and/or Specialist Leader in Education!


Tes is currently seeking an ambitious or aspiring second in charge/assistant head of Mathematics for a well-renowned and highly successful outstanding school based in Hounslow.

The role will include coordinating and supporting the delivery of Mathematics across the school. The role will work across KS3, GCSE and A-level, supporting the Director and Head of Maths with improving provision and curriculum.

The school are revising provision and schemes of work and are interested in hearing from teachers with new ideas. The role would be perfect for a teacher looking for a step up into Middle Leadership!

The school expects:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • a relevant BSc/MSc in Mathematics or a related subject
  • previous experience of delivering Mathematics across GCSE and A-level
  • experience of developing provision and enhancing curriculum ti support increased pupil outcomes.
