Hampton Gardens is a new 11-19 free school which opened in September 2017 to an initial intake of 180 Year 7 students. When full the school will accommodate 1200 students in years 7-11 and 300 students in Sixth Form. Hampton Gardens is part of the Hampton Academies Trust who also run the highly successful and popular Hampton College.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Head of School to join Hampton Gardens school. This role provides an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the future development of the school as it expands.

This is an excellent position for someone seeking their first senior leadership role or for an existing senior leader wishing to broaden their areas of experience in management. As Assistant Head of School you will lead and manage the School’s Teaching and Learning programme and develop effective strategies to improve outstanding standards for teaching across the curriculum for all Key Stages. You will lead on the oversight of staff appraisal, new staff induction programmes, CPD and staff development.

Along with the main area of responsibility there will be additional responsibilities reflecting the current size of the leadership team. As the team grows, areas of responsibility will be reviewed according to individual skill set. 

Working closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be able to help shape the strategic direction of the school ensuring a committed focus on raising attainment and progress for all pupils within a caring and aspirational environment.
