About the role

Our Assistant Head’s (AH), along with the Head of Secondary, form the Secondary School Leadership Team (SSLT). This team leads the strategic and operational workings of the school. Each AH is given significant autonomy to oversee and lead their area of responsibilities. The role of Assistant Head Curriculum and Operations involves the construction of the whole school timetable and integration of all timetable and assessment data into iSams the school Information Management System.

There is a teaching commitment which will include the delivery of an adapted UK National Curriculum, I/GCSE and IB Diploma Programme. Please clearly state which subject(s) you are able to teach, and to what level.

About you

A strong communicator, you will bring significant experience of both teaching and management in a school environment. Your proven leadership and people management skills together with your knowledge of the English National Curriculum and curriculum developments will enable you to establish a high performing culture within the school. A proven track record in

Confident in a complex and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to design, implement and review organisational policies and new initiatives and grow and develop team members. You will relish the chance to work collaboratively with colleagues in the central team, the region and across the organisation.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictons for China, including a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years teaching experience.

The closing date for application is Friday 21st December.  First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 21st January 2019 (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates who cannot attend in person).
