ASSISTANT HEAD OF YEAR
Cheney School is a popular, high performing school located in the heart of Oxford serving a diverse community of students who are eager to learn. The success as a single Academy Trust is leading Cheney School to expand into a Multi Academy Trust.
As Assistant Head of Year you will support the Head of Year with up to 300 pupils. The role suits a candidate who is passionate about working with children and helping them reach their best potential during their secondary education. The ideal candidate will have:
- Empathy with young students
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to be flexible
- Excellent interpersonal skills to help liaise with students, parents and staff across the college and school.

The post is for 37 hours per week, term-time + 5 INSET days and 2 Result Days during the summer holidays. Starting salary at grade 7 (Points 22 to 25) £18,028.80 – £19,771.38 pa, pro rata, based on term-time only plus 7 days.
