This is a vital new post and an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a vibrant school in a senior position. You will take the lead in championing and developing new initiatives regarding our commitment to maximising learning outcomes in addition to identifying individual strengths and needs providing girls with the guidance and support they need, both emotionally and academically, to succeed. You will play an important role in shaping the school's vision, and developing the Strategic Plan and policies.
The Assistant Head (Pastoral Care and Safeguarding) will work closely with the Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning/Curriculum Innovation) to sustain and enhance the excellent standing of the school. The successful candidate will be experienced in Pastoral Care and Safeguarding bringing ambition and creativity to these important areas of school life. They will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school, supported by three experienced SLT Deputy DSL's and lead the Learning Support Department to maximise achievement for all. As a high profile member of the senior leadership team, the Assistant Head (Pastoral and Safeguarding) reports to the Head.
You will promote quality first teaching to sustain and enhance the excellent standing of the School and will be responsible for administering and directing the school's Learning Enhancement provision, promoting inclusion and achievement for all.
The ideal candidate will be a middle or senior leader, who is forward thinking with strategic vision and strong leadership and management skills, as well as successful teaching experience in a range of settings with broad knowledge of the curriculum across the range 4 – 11.
