This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to be involved in developing and leading the pastoral side of the Lower School at Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing. As a new school in a growing group of Wycombe Abbey Schools in China, our vision is “Every Child Can Excel” which will be the foundation upon which we will build our thriving community. The school opened in September 2021, with boarding being offered from Year 2 (Grade 1) through to Year 13 (Grade 12). The position of Assistant Head of Lower School (Pastoral) will appeal to a colleague with clear aspirations of becoming Head of Lower School in the future. It is a key role in the school with significant pastoral responsibility. It will appeal to a colleague with experience in a Housemistress/Housemaster, Head of Year or Head of Key stage role. It is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the existing pastoral team and take a leading role in the development and implementation of pastoral care in the Lower School. Working closely with the Deputy Head Pastoral, the other Assistant Heads and the Directors of Boarding the successful candidate will embed current and effective student support policy, procedure, and processes, to help guide and nurture our students to achieving their potential.
