Job Title:      Assistant Head - Safeguarding

Salary:           Up to £56,000.00 per annum plus a Welcome Bonus of £1,000**

Location:       Manor House School, Slinfold, Horsham RH13 0QX

Hours:         40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm

Contract:      Permanent, Term Time Only

Purpose of the Role

To support the Headteacher in developing the school as a high-quality specialist provision for pupils with SEMH, ASC, ADHD and other associated diagnosis. This will be through providing the highest standards of pastoral care for all pupils, of all abilities, in a safe and orderly learning environment. As the Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL) the safeguarding the welfare of the young people in our care will be your primary responsibility.

All the duties outlined are carried out under the direction and supervision of the Headteacher.

Key Task Areas and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Headteacher in leading and managing the school
  • Undertake such duties as are delegated by the Headteacher
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements and the policies of the company and Manor House School
