This is a fantastic and unique opportunity, for an experienced teacher and leader, to support this thriving school through a period of transition as a new Head teacher is appointed for September 2019. The Assistant Head will support the current SLT in maintaining a focus on their improvement priorities: promoting language acquisition of Pupil Premium children, improving provision and outcomes in writing, transforming the learning environment and securing leadership capacity to continue to raise standards and well-being.

The successful candidate will:

  • Model outstanding classroom practice and behaviour management
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Provide effective leadership in raising standards of attainment, achievement and behaviour
  • Take a lead role in developing aspects of the school improvement plan
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of all pupils
  • Forge positive links with parents and the local community
