Berwick Academy is looking to appoint an ambitious professional to join our existing leadership team. As a member of this team you will be directly involved in shaping and promoting continuous improvement in standards of learning, achievement, conduct , discipline and safeguarding in our school.

Berwick Academy is located midway between Edinburgh and Newcastle on the east coast mainline and serves the beautiful coastal community of Berwick upon Tweed in north Northumberland. We are a co-educational academy for pupils aged 13-18, with 550 pupils approx.

Berwick Academy serves the town and rural area of Berwick-upon-Tweed in North Northumberland.  It is a small, friendly school with approximately 500 pupils aged 13-18, including approx 99 in the sixth form. Our pupils achieve good results, which facilitate progression onto their chosen future course, whether that is employment, apprenticeship or University education. Berwick Academy students are given excellent opportunities to learn outside of the classroom through sport, the arts, educational visits and outdoor education.  Our aim is to help our pupils to develop a love of learning and the values, skills and attitudes that will be required for a purposeful life beyond school.
