Job overview

Are you an experienced leader, innovator and practitioner who has had a demonstrable impact on learning?

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated leader to join our team of committed professionals who see the learning needs of the individual as a priority.

Isebrook SEN College is a successful specialist setting for students aged 11-18 with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities.

As part of the Senior Leadership team there is a responsibility for the whole school, however we are seeking to recruit someone who will have the responsibility for leading the curriculum across our school. You need to be passionate about the curriculum and be able to support teachers to ensure learning is exciting, engaging, relevant and meaningful.

The successful candidate will have expertise and a proven track record in the leading of learning and teaching of students with complex and moderate learning difficulties and in the positive management of relationships.

We are looking for a leader who is an outstanding practitioner and is able to support our school in ensuring the best outcomes for all students.

In addition to completing an application form, candidates are asked to submit a letter of application, maximum of two sides of A4. The letter should:

  1. Outline your experiences and skills in relation to the areas outlined in the person specification.
  2. A paragraph to discuss your philosophy of education and the role of a leader.

Visits to the school are usually warmly welcomed; however, due to COVID-19 this is not currently possible.

We would encourage you to contact Ellie Edwards on eedwards@creatingtomorrowmat.co.uk to make arrangements to have a discussion about the school with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Closing date: 12pm Friday 24th April, interviews to be held W/C 4th May 2020. Due to COVID19 interview arrangements will be confirmed nearer the time.

Creating Tomorrow Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding children, promoting the welfare of all students, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for the successful candidates.
