Ashmole Academy Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance.   The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.    

Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1600 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 360.  Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year. 

As part of our expansion and teaching school status we are looking to appoint an ‘Outstanding’ and experienced subject leader of Mathematics to join a very strong and effective leadership team (April or September start).  All members of the leadership team will have a whole school responsibility and a curriculum responsibility.  In this case, the curriculum area is mathematics.  There is also an opportunity, going forward, to be part of the teaching school alliance project. 

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with an excellent track record as a subject leader achieving outstanding results.   

Mathematics is a major strength of the school and the Mathematics department has a proven track record of success at GCSE and A level with almost 50% achieving at least a grade 7 at GCSE and more than two thirds of students achieve at least a grade B at A Level.  100 students choose Mathematics as one of their A Level subjects.
