Ethos Academy Trust formed in September 2018, bringing together three Alternative Provision Academies, an Outreach Service and a Medical Provision. We aim to deliver the very best educational experiences for pupils from across the primary and secondary age range. We seek to develop Academies that are welcoming, calm, nurturing and purposeful and within a nurturing ethos, our learners are stretched academically, supported pastorally and developed socially and emotionally.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational SENDCo / Assistant Head Teacher to join our passionate and hardworking team to lead and contribute on a range of innovative developments within the Trust. This new role will evolve over time and has the potential to provide the successful candidate with an exciting leadership career pathway. It will provide the opportunity to work in partnership with mainstream schools as well as contributing to the strategic development of our own academies and wider strands of provision.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have leadership experience;
  • Have experience of leading, developing, delivering and evaluating effective strategies for learners with SEN, in particular pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs;
  • Be an excellent teacher with SEND experience;
  • Be committed to improving outcomes for all;
  • Be flexible, hard-working, enthusiastic and a strong team player.

Collectively, we provide wide-ranging support and educational opportunities for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and for pupils unable to attend school for medical reasons. Trust staff work in partnership with schools, parents / carers and other professionals to support and promote the educational and social inclusion of pupils.

The overarching aim of Ethos Academy Trust is to create academies that provide environments that are welcoming, caring, calm, safe and purposeful and that, within a nurturing ethos, stretch our learners academically, support them pastorally and develop them socially and emotionally.
