Assistant Head Teacher - Teaching & Learning

We are particularly interested in applications from people who can offer one of the following subjects: English, Geography, History, Maths, RE, Science or Business Studies. However, strong applications offering other subjects will be considered.

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational leader with a strong understanding of teaching and learning who will shape and lead the next phase of our work in this area. ‘Inspirational learning’ has always underpinned the vision we have for the school and our staff are highly committed to embedding this in their lessons. In recent years our emphasis has been on creative and active learning as well as increasing the consistency of experience for our pupils. CPD is well developed and well supported via the Thurrock Teaching School Alliance which is based at the school and via the Trust’s ‘people plan’ which places pedagogic development at the heart of its work. The post-holder will build upon these secure foundations to ensure that exceptionally high quality pedagogy is embedded across the school.
