About the Post

Stourfield Infant School has a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and driven leader with a vision for exceptional education. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of raising educational standards and leading teaching and learning in EYFS and KS1, alongside a commitment to engage positively with pupils, staff and the local community.

It is anticipated that this will be a non-class based role for the Summer term 2022 to enable the new Assistant Headteacher to have maximum impact on our journey to good. This will move to a substantive teaching role alongside leadership of specified year groups in Autumn 2022. 

Stourfield Infant School is a large community school which caters for 360 children aged between 4 and 7 years. The children spend three years here. The classes are organised in year groups with four classes each. We are an inclusive school and welcome children from all walks of life and all faiths. 

We are a member of Twynham Learning, which is an exciting and growing federation of ambitious infant, junior and secondary schools. Its aim is to offer this generation of children, young people and those involved in their education the very best leadership, teaching and learning, professional development and support services.
