Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and experienced senior leader to join our leadership team as an Assistant Headteacher with the responsibility of curriculum. You will take the strategic lead on the curriculum through line managing subject leaders and undertaking monitoring and evaluation activities to lead to staff training and further improvement of the offer which our children receive to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The post will also include the responsibility of leading and managing our enrichment opportunities such as our cookery provision, school farm and forest school.

The post will be non-class based this academic year but will incorporate teaching responsibilities.

De Lucy is an over-subscribed and successful school based in Abbey Wood, in the transition from two form entry to three form entry (currently up to Year 3).

Our recent Ofsted report (February 2016) confirmed that calm, warm and respectful relationships are central to the school’s culture and that leadership is positive and ambitious.

De Lucy Primary School is a community school in the London Borough of Greenwich catering for children from 3 – 11 years of age.
It was opened in 1959 as separate junior and infant and nursery schools. In 1983 the two schools amalgamated under the Head teacher from the junior school. In the last few years the school has undergone considerable refurbishment.

Our mission statement is "High Achievement in a Caring Community" and this reflects what our school aims to achieve.
