This 11-18 City Technology College with an enrolment of 1360 students is seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to have overall responsibility for Performing Arts. There is potential to progress to Deputy Headship internally for aspirational applicants with the capacity to take on a wider role in due course. Fifteen employees have progressed to Headship in recent years.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to serve on the Senior Management Team of one of the top performing Schools in the country, both academically and in Performing Arts. 

The successful candidate will have a track record of high standards and be familiar with the delivery of Level 3 Triple Award in Performing Arts and A level in their specialist subject. Performing Arts which includes Music, Dance and Drama is a very high profile area in the School. The Schools reputation in student destinations to prestigious Stage and Performing Arts Schools is prodigious. Facilities are extensive and maintained at an exceptional level.

Thomas Telford School is a mixed, non-denominational, mainstream school with sixth form, situated in Telford, Shropshire. The school admits students aged 11-18 and has a reputation for outstanding GCSE results. In 2014, 100% of Year 11 students gained five or more A*-C GCSE passes.
