Preston Park Primary School are looking for an innovative, outward facing, committed and outstanding Assistant Headteacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of the schools senior leadership team, to assist in the promotion, direction and oversight of high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progression within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1).

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:

• You must have previous experience as an Assistant Headteacher within Early years and KS1.

• Be a team player with energy, stamina and lots of creativity and fresh ideas. 

• Qualified Teacher Status and substantial teaching experience in at least two settings.

• Successful teaching experience: modelling excellence in teaching and learning

• Successful experience in giving effective and efficient feedback to move learning on including monitoring, evaluating and improving the quality of teaching and learning

• Successful leadership experience as a middle or senior leader with a proven track record of improving pupil outcomes

• Share the founding vision and ethos for Preston Park, (please visit the school and look on the school’s website).

• Must be excited by the chance to contribute to Preston Park Primary and driven to do what it takes to succeed. 

• You must also be skilled to effectively support children for whom English is a second language.

About Preston Park Primary School

Preston Park Primary School in Wembley, north-west London, is a mixed community school for children aged 3-11. The pupil roll is over 600.   Preston Park Primary School is well resourced with rich indoor and outdoor learning environments comprising bright classrooms, spacious playgrounds, a school farm and a wildlife nature reserve.

The nursery at Preston Park has 60 part-time children. We also have a 2 year old provision on site.
