Key Duties  Working with the core leadership team and strategic team you will  · Set the culture and ethos of the school through assemblies and ways of working  · Ensure very high standards of commitment, “buy-in” and behaviour from all pupils and their families  · Analyse and act on data, assessment information, visible learning information to ensure all pupils make outstanding progress from their starting points · Oversee pupil well-being across the school alongside other leaders · Plan and keep under review and engaging curriculum and pedagogical model drawing on the most recent research to ensure high standards and motivation. Initially this will be across the Early Years and KS1; you should bring experience and ideas to this duty · Work with school leaders to ensure pupil leadership, a reading culture, parent empowerment, listening and attention, pupil well-being are all well embedded in the school · Plan and deliver an effective induction process for our new families and those who transition across phases · Report clearly and with presence at meetings and events including parent meetings, governor meetings and those with external agencies  · Report progress and data updates and analysis clearly and evaluatively · Build and develop a high performing staff team through amongst other strategies instructional leadership, coaching and direct and developmental feedback. Initially this will be across the Early Years and KS1 teams. · Develop a rigorous and supportive programme of curriculum and well-being support and learning for parents across your area of the school. This will involve directly leading meetings establishing culture, expectations and ways of working · Any other tasks the headteacher directs

· Is able to deliver continuous improvement through others, building strong cohesive teams 

· Models excellence in teaching, planning and assessment.

· Can maintain a focus on pupil’s learning at all times

· is able to work in collaboration and partnership, including with families, maintaining strong professional bonds

· Is able to coach teachers and give precise feedback to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. 

· Demonstrates personal authority through voice, presence, professional attire and self-regulation at all times

· Demonstrates a thirst for knowledge and interest in educational research and development
