Watling Park School is a new two form entry primary school which opened in September 2015. We currently have two year groups, Reception and Year 1 and we will grow organically until 2021, when we will reach our capacity of 420. We are currently located in temporary accommodation on Pavilion Way, just 5 minutes from Edgware station next to our new, state-of-the-art school, which is due to be completed in July this year.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational senior leader to join our school as an Assistant Headteacher. Responsibilities will include:
- Taking the strategic lead on the KS1 curriculum. In particular, monitoring and evaluating progress.
- Leading staff training and further improving the education that our children receive to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Our ideal candidates will be able to deliver inspirational learning experiences in a stimulating environment and be committed to excellence, inclusion and challenge. You will also have the strong interpersonal skills to foster links between the school, home and wider community.
The school is part of the Bellevue Place Education Trust, an exciting group of ambitious and growing primary schools. Its aim is to offer this generation of children and those involved in their education the very best leadership, teaching and learning, professional development and support services.
The post will be class based in a KS1 class (Year 1 or 2) with release time to fulfil responsibilities.
