Assistant Headteacher - Learning Technology

Children's Hospital School at Great Ormond Street and UCHCamden

Required September 2021

We welcome applications from teachers working in any school phase or setting

Inner London Leadership Scale L10-15   Full Time

We are looking for an experienced teacher with drive, enthusiasm and resilience to join our successful and supportive Senior Leadership Team. This additional Assistant Head post has been prioritised in response to the impact of COVID 19; a true catalyst for change and innovation to our approaches to teaching in the 21st century and in anticipation of a new and exciting School building planned for 2026 at Great Ormond Street.

Fundamentally we need a creative and strategic technology thinker, an outstanding classroom practitioner and school leader; someone who will keep us ahead of the curve - a pioneer in technology who could be a subject specialist in any area not just computing!

‘’Teachers are extremely skilled in adapting activities and levels of support to meet the needs of every student they teach. This ensures that students are engaged purposefully and make as much progress as they can.’’ OFSTED

As a School that already believes in harnessing the power of technology to improve learning, this role offers the opportunity to build upon our already successful integration of technology across our curriculum including innovation through remote learning. The role provides the right candidate with the challenge of supporting our pupil, parent/carer and staff community in being at the forefront of best practice nationally; taking advantage of technological innovation to keep children with medical needs connected to a learning community and their peers.

‘’The behaviour in lessons is exemplary and the students mirror the positive relationships modelled by adults.’’ OFSTED
