These roles will enhance the current SLT, which is led by Fiona McLean, who is a dynamic Head of School. Fiona and The Howard Academy Trust will help you to develop the skills you need to be a Deputy or Head of School, if you show the potential for these roles.

We want leaders who are motivated and resilient. Your number of years of experience, is less important to us than the commitment and drive that you bring.

We are looking for 3 AHT’s in the following areas:

• Quality of Education

• Raising Standards & Curriculum

• Personal Development

These roles will involve teaching and you be expected to be a strong classroom practitioner. The subject areas that we are particularly interested in are Engineering, Construction, Design Technology/Three-Dimensional Design and PE.

This is a career defining opportunity and an exciting time to lead at WUTC. The Howard Academy Trust will support and develop you as a leader and there are numerous opportunities across trust, that you can take advantage of.

What we offer you?

Our students have proven to be responsible, mature and career driven individuals who want to succeed and are a pleasure to teach.

The successful candidate will be someone who is genuinely passionate about teaching. In return, we can promise an investment in you and your future, offering a competitive remuneration package, providing first class professional development and career opportunities.

We value our teachers and actively support their professional development, and have redesigned our working week to place even greater emphasis on staff development. You will have access to on-going professional development including National College accredited courses. If you are looking to extend your experience and would be interested in joining our team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
