The University of Cambridge Primary School is seeking to appoint two inspired educators to be key members of the leadership team. The Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral, Behaviour and Community) will work alongside the Executive Headteacher and Associate Headteacher to contribute to developing an ambitious, innovative and inclusive education offer.

This new Assistant Headteacher will have responsibility for developing the pastoral, behaviour and community aspect of our school. As well as these specific accountabilities, the role requires 50% in class work, to develop teachers through coaching and mentoring, exemplifying excellent practice and helping raise standards across the school. 

You will be a confident and passionate educator with successful recent primary experience in class and diverse experiences of leadership. Ideally holding QTS will be valuable, but for the right candidate who can demonstrate what we are looking for and with experience of teaching children, we will consider those who do not have QTS.

As a Free School we largely follow National conditions for employment and expectations, although the unique aspects of our school (research, professional development and initial teacher training) will feature high on our priority to evaluate our impact and influence. 

The role will evolve over time to give scope for growth and development of the successful candidate.
