Valentines High school has an exciting opportunity to appoint an Assistant Headteacher. 

 

The Headteacher is looking to recruit an exceptional individual who has the potential and enthusiasm to be an active and influential senior leader with an ambition to progress further in their leadership career.


The successful candidate will have an innovative and creative flair for developing and training staff, based on research. They will have experience of working with colleagues to improve teaching and learning and sustain outstanding practice.

 

The focus of the responsibility for the post will be the strategic leadership and development of CPD at the school.

About Valentines High School

Valentines High School is a non-denominational, co-educational secondary school with sixth form in Ilford, Essex. Its motto translates from Latin as "in harmony, achieving excellence". There are approximately 1,291 students on the school roll. The school is proud of its diversity, with 78% of pupils speaking English as an additional language. 

Valentines High School has been a Teaching School since 2011. This status allows the school to offer professional development to other schools in the area, as well as providing high-quality training for its own staff. Founded in 1901, the school opened a new sixth-form centre in 2007.
