Assistant Headteacher SENDCO

To work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher and Heads of School to provide professional leadership for the school which secures its success and improvement, ensuring high quality education for all its pupils and improved standards of teaching, learning and achievement.

To work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher and Heads of School to ensure that the school is inclusive and lead the provision and monitoring of effective support and interventions for pupils with SEND and other vulnerabilities.

Under the overall direction of the Executive Headteacher play a lead role:

1. In formulating the aims, objectives of the schools and establishing the policies through which they are to be achieved.
2. Be responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils with SEND including monitoring of progress towards achievement.
3. Proactively manage staff and resources
4. Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required.
5. To work and liaise with multi-agencies and the school’s safeguarding leaders.
6. To promote the welfare of children and young people within the schools
