Welldon Park Infant & Nursery School is a light, bright and welcoming school, surrounded by attractive grounds which are currently being further developed with a nature trail and exciting new Foundation Stage area.

We are a small, inclusive, multicultural school with seven Infant classes and a Nursery class with morning and afternoon sessions for twenty-six children.

The children, their learning and welfare are at the heart of everything we do.

Through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) we aim to bring learning alive and provide excitement and challenge for all. Using a topic based approach we provide opportunities to build on the children’s natural curiosity and skills. We underpin this creative curriculum with a strong emphasis on basic skills.

We have an excellent reputation for inclusion within the community and staff are very experienced in working with a range of SEN pupils. We are the Borough resource for children with a specific speech and language impairment. We have an agreed admission level and are staffed accordingly. All children in the resource are fully integrated into our mainstream classes but may be withdrawn for specific teaching and/or on-site speech and language therapy.

We work very closely with the Speech and Language Therapy service and two therapists are based at the school for most of the week.  In addition we have developed a specially equipped nurturing environment for children who benefit from visual, aural and kinaesthetic learning activities.

All teachers have a morning for PPA and are able to work in their year group teams during this time.
We have a large team of experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants who play a key role in the children’s learning. All staff are very supportive of each other and work together as a strong team, sharing ideas and experiences.

The school is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area and looks out onto green fields and allotments. It is near to local shops and buses in Northolt Road; South Harrow Station, which is on the Piccadilly Line, is ten minutes walk away.
