Due to the retirement of the current Co-Headteacher, applications are invited from well qualified, highly motivated teachers with vision, flair and energy to join our newly expanded Senior Leadership Team. 

The Trustees are seeking to appoint an experienced leader with a clear vision and passion for learning who can make a major contribution to the continued development of this outstanding school. 

The postholder will have curriculum and pastoral responsibilities. Other areas of responsibility will be negotiated with the successful candidate. All members of the Senior Leadership Team are committed to job rotation.

The school is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive School with 1700 students on roll (including over 400 in the Sixth Form). 

Closing date for Applications: 9 am on Friday 9 February 2018

Interview dates: Tuesday 6 March and Wednesday 7 March 2018

Charters School is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive Academy School with 1700 students on roll (including 390 in the Sixth Form) located in Sunningdale, Ascot, Berkshire.  It is a dynamic, high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, motivated to succeed and enjoy their education.   The school provides a complete range of opportunities for students to achieve well academically and for successful personal development within a caring and supportive environment.

The school has celebrated its 65th anniversary, having been opened on the 23 April 1958, which is also St. George’s Day and Shakespeare’s birthday.  The red cross of the school badge comes from the cross of St. George, the dagger symbolises Shakespeare and the stag is the symbol of Berkshire.
