We are looking to recruit an inspiring Assistant Headteacher at The Link Primary School. The Link caters for pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum. Abilities are wide ranging, varying from pupils who meet cognitive milestones to pupils with complex needs. A belief in person centred teaching is a priority.

The Role: The Assistant Head is responsible for oversight and development of the curriculum across the school, taking specific responsibility for Pastoral care and Behaviour support.

The Assistant Head will work closely with the Deputy Head to ensure a consistent approach to education and well-being in all areas of the school’s work. In addition to deputising for the Deputy Head as required and fulfilling a variable teaching role, the Assistant Head will contribute substantially to the overall development and strategic planning of the School.

Experience of teaching and leading pupils diagnosed on the Autism spectrum is essential.
