The Priory School is a thriving learning community which seeks to appoint an outstanding middle or senior leader as Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching and Learning. We are looking for an innovative leader who will inspire, motivate and challenge colleagues to improve their professional practice and who has a passionate commitment to the academic, personal and social development of all our students. The successful candidate will:

We are an oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational Foundation School with over 1,200 students on role. The school is part of the Post 16 Hitchin consortium with over 600 hundred students. The school is situated in the greenbelt on a 27-acre site with ample parking. The market town of Hitchin is a highly sought-after destination with excellent local amenities and transport links. Central London and Cambridge are all within 30 minutes’ travel by rail and our nearest airport is 20 minutes by road.
