Holy Cross Catholic High School is an oversubscribed 11-16 Catholic comprehensive school.  Our success is rooted in our ethos; we provide a high quality, broad and balanced education, which combined with exceptional pastoral support, enables our pupils to flourish. We have a strong record of staff development with many of our staff moving on to promoted posts.

Governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking teacher to assume this important strategic and operational role in this thriving school.  The successful applicant will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven record of school improvement at middle leadership level.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'.

Essential: Degree, DfE recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional development including working towards or attainment of Leadership Pathways or NPQSL .  Recent successful comprehensive school experience at strategic leadership level or post of equivalent responsibility within the education sector Experience of leading curriculum innovation. Recent and relevant experience of teaching at secondary level  

Desirable: Relevant post-graduate study or qualifications CCRS or equivalent.  Experience of leading in a Catholic school. Experience of leading whole school improvement
