Required for January 2017
(Teaching, Learning & Curriculum)
Leadership Spine L7 - 11
The Head Teacher and Interim Executive Board of this popular 11-18 co-educational, all-ability school are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head Teacher to support the development of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum across the school.
This is a school that Ofsted placed in ‘Special Measures’ in April 2016, however, the school was re-inspected on 21st/22nd September 2017. The outcome currently remains confidential, but the experience was a positive one. The new Head Teacher and Interim Executive Board are excited about the future, as we have great students, hardworking and caring staff and a real determination to get the school to ‘Outstanding’.
We need an Assistant Head to work with the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teachers and other Assistant Head to support and help drive our improvement journey.
Are you experienced, dynamic, knowledgeable and determined? If so, we would love to hear from you.
The focus of this role will be to:
- Support the development of whole school policy and practice in order to further raise standards of teaching and develop students’ independent and resilient learning.
- To work with the Deputy Head Teacher to ensure our curriculum is fit for purpose and meets the needs of students and new accountability measures.
Given that the school has a strong tradition of providing opportunities and supporting the growth of emergent leaders, the post would ideally suit someone who is currently a Middle Leader or an Assistant Head Teacher who has strong potential to rise up the leadership ladder.
Further details are available from Ms C Kelly, Head Teacher, telephone 0151 641 6683 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Application details can be downloaded from our website www.bebingtonhigh.com
This post is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS check. The school is committed to safer recruitment and vetting procedure.
Closing date: Friday 13th October 2017 at 12 noon
Interviews will take place w/c 16th October 2017
All applicants will be considered on the basis of suitability for the post regardless of sex, age, race or disability.
