Located in the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the doorstep of the Lake District, Sedbergh is a thriving Boarding School which boasts outstanding facilities and has a national reputation in a variety of arenas.
The School is now seeking to appoint a full time Assistant Housemaster/Housemistress (AHSM), to provide outstanding welfare support to the pupils in the House, in support of the Housemaster/Housemistress (HSM).
The duties of the role will be wide and varied, but it is essential for the AHSM to be able to demonstrate an empathy with and understanding of young people, a sense of humour and a genuine concern for the pupils' well-being and active involvement in their personal development. You will be required to positively encourage the pupils in their interests and activities and develop a professional and friendly relationship with them. You will also provide support in the maintenance of morale, standards and the efficient operation of the House.
